On Tuesday, May 16, residents of the Watervliet City School District will have the opportunity to vote on the library's budget for the first time. In accordance with state law, the library will hold two public forums about the library being publicly funded for the first time in its 63 year history. Forums will be held on the following dates and times, in the Mary P. O'Brien Reading Room at the Watervliet Public Library:

At each forum, members of the library's Board of Trustees will present information about the budget proposal and will be available to answer city residents' questions and concerns. For a detailed explanation of the proposed budget, and for voting information, please refer to the budget narrative listed here. If you have questions or concerns about the proposed budget, please consider attending one of the aforementioned forums. Thank you for your support.
